Abstract Guidelines
General Information for Authors
The host of the Sixth International Conference on Scattering of Atoms and Molecules from Surfaces (SAMS6) invites authors to submit abstracts for presentation at the SAMS6 2025. The SAMS6 Symposium will be held in Ulm, Germany from September 8th to September 11th, 2025 and aims to bring together leading experimentalists and theoreticians working in the field to exchange ideas and foster new collaborations. The goal of the conference is to establish a research network, create new cooperations as well as joint projects by increasing awareness of the methods used.

- Non-adiabatic effects in scattering processes
- Electronic structure theory for projectile-surface interactions
Abstract Submission
- To submit an abstract every author has to pre-register to the SAMS6 2025
- Please submit your abstract via the Button Abstract Submission on the SAMS6 2025 webpage
- Every author will receive a confirmation email that abstract submission has been received.
Instructions for preparing SAMS6 abstracts
- Abstract submissions can be copy-pasted into the textbox of the submission form.
The textbox for the submission allows up to 2000 characters, not counting the title, authors and affiliations. - Please indicate with your submission if you have a preference for poster or an oral presentation.

Registration
After acceptance notification the regular registration is obligatory and implies payment of the registration fee. Therefore, with the acceptance notification, we will provide a link to finalize registration and payment.
Registration will open on August 1st, 2025

Abstract Preparation
- All abstracts for SAMS6 2025 should address one of the SAMS6 2025 topics.
- All abstracts must be submitted in English.
- No late submissions will be accepted.
- Please indicate with your submission if you have a preference for poster or an oral presentation
The abstract should be submitted via the respective input mask provided on the website.
Review, Notification, Program Placement, and Proceedings
Your abstract will be reviewed and we will let you know if it has been accepted or not in a timely fashion. We will also inform you if the abstract has been accepted for a poster or an oral presentation at the conference (please indicate with your submission if you have a preference).
Depending on the type of abstract and its content, the chair of SAMS6 2025 may allocate it to a poster session rather than an oral presentation.
The contact author will be notified of abstract acceptance by email no later than July 31st, 2025.
The selection of papers will be made by the SAMS6 2025 chair and reviewers on the following criteria:
- General interest of the subject
- Relevance to the subjects covered by the conference
- Originality of the material presented
- Clarity of the abstract
All accepted abstracts will be made available in the online scientific programme and all participants of SAMS6 2025 will have access to the abstracts.
